The design of the family house in Liberec was influenced mainly by the shape and location of the plot. At the same time, it was shaped by the requirements for the layout, where a house for a young family was to be created, whose bedroom wing would provide privacy for both parents and future children. At the same time, it would offer space for parties and gatherings with friends.
Based on the input requirements, this resulted in a building that has a constantly rising roof plane (pitched roof), which is lowest in the southern bedroom area and rises towards the northern part where there is an elevated living area with a gallery. From the gallery there is also an exit to the eastern viewing terrace, from where there is a breathtaking view of the Jizera Mountains.
This design has managed to respond very precisely to the defined requirements, both layout and operational. Significant consideration has been given to the configuration of the site within the wider locality. The seemingly complex site has been maximally utilised in terms of function and location of the building, thus meeting all the wishes of the investors with interesting architectural bonuses.
